Day 135

This very sad ball is at the centre of Marley's little life.  I brought a new one back from the states.  He isn't interested in the new one and is still obsessed with the broken one.  An appropriate portrait, I think.

Day 134

My dad gave me an iPod Touch for Christmas.  I couldn't play with it until I got home because it had to be activated by my iTunes.  There is no other way to have an iPod and I have only played with it for a day.

Day 133

The newest addition to the cleaning arsenal.  And we paid all of £50.  I love it!

Day 132

Christmas Tree in my grandfather's house.  We had already opened presents and most of the mess had been cleaned up.

Day 131

Christmas Eve was a beautiful day in New Mexico.

Day 130

My husband, who wasn't able to make the trip with me, was rather jealous that we were outside this very famous rock climbing spot (located outside of El Paso).

Day 129

Small town Texas and your friendly roadside rest stop.

Day 128

When I moved to the UK, I found the amount of flavours available in potato chips to be astonishing.  Whilst in Target in the good old USA, I found this massive display of potato chips in an astonishing range of flavours.  Some were strange and the stand continued another foot or two to the left and right.

Day 127

Sock Monkey slippers received for Christmas.  Aren't they awesome!?

Day 126

My mom didn't have a tree up because we were going to my grandfather's for Christmas.  Thus, I present to you, the Christmas Window Seat.

Sunday 7 December 2008

Day 125

We were in Leicester again today (as we were yesterday for the driving thing) and I saw this on the pavement downtown.

Day 124

LOOK WHAT I DID TODAY!!!!!  HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 123

I crawled up on a bench and took this picture over a wall.  For months, I have been dying to know what was behind the wall.  It was a lovely surprise though quite frosty in the low winter light.

Day 122

This was just too funny not to take a picture.

Day 121

I love these things about England.

Day 120

Top of an iron gate I saw whilst running an errand for work.

Day 119

Frosty mornings in the garden.

Saturday 6 December 2008

Day 118

All these tests are doing my head in.  Once this is done, I will have passed some major hurdles.

Sunday 30 November 2008

Day 117

At six o'clock in the morning, the only place open to eat breakfast at Amsterdam Schipol Airport was McDonald's.  This is a scene from the rather empty (and rather odd) dining area.

Day 116

Wood sculpture thing in the conference room.  Have you gathered that I was trapped in the hotel yet?  *sigh*

Day 115

Canal off of Leidesplein.  A group of us went for dinner and this is about all I saw of Amsterdam.  It was pretty but so cold!

Day 114

View of hotel lobby whilst waiting for the conference to start on Tuesday morning.

Day 113

Thai Green Curry Dutch Style.  It was room service whilst in Amsterdam.  Too much work.

Sunday 23 November 2008

Day 112

This was pushed through our mail slot this morning.  Double-sided and full of nasty things regarding immigrants and immigration.  It is a damn good thing they didn't knock on the door because I would have given them a piece of my mind.

Day 111

A much deserved Chai and chocolate cheesecake muffin after hours of standing and presenting in Dusseldorf.  A few hours later, I was on a plane back to London.

Day 110

Scene from Medica, a huge medical device exhibition in Germany (huge as in 17 jumbo jet hanger sized halls backed to the hilt).  This was my company's stand (which was quite large) with two of my lovely co-worker's explaining one of our therapies.  I was there to answer Regulatory questions.  It was a long day, but, good fun.

Day 109

Lovely little sign on the back of my bed in an otherwise nasty hotel room.

Sunday 16 November 2008

Day 108

My new doggie socks.

Day 107

My husband took this picture while I was out with Karen yesterday; but, it is too cute not to post.  Marley loves the guitar case for naps.

Day 106

I received this little stuffed hedgehog in the post from my Switch Witch!  Isn't he cute!?  (sorry, his nose kind of blends into the sofa material).

Day 105

We went for a walk in the country near a viaduct.  These horses were in the fields and came up to us to say hello.  They were really lovely.

Day 104

Bailey and his Homer slipper.

Day 103

With the cold weather here, we went to Peterborough so my husband could get proper running trousers.  We also did a bit of Christmas shopping.  I convinced him that I had to go wander around the cathedral grounds where I snapped this picture.

Day 102

My husband and his wedding ring whilst reading in the sunshine.

Day 101

Bailey decided that a nap under the pillow in the spare bedroom was a good thing.

Day 100

I didn't see much of Sweden when I was there; but, the courtyard below my hotel was kinda pretty.

Thursday 16 October 2008

Day 99

Self-portrait after a visit to the hair salon.  In bright light, the highlights are frighteningly blonde and the brown is really dark.  At least I got the first decent cut since I moved here.  I just don't understand why they always straighten my hair.

Tuesday 14 October 2008

Day 98

I got my reveal package in my Switch Witch swap.  It was full of amazing, amazing things.  Too many to list here.  The highlights are: homemade apple butter, graham crackers, five bottles of amazing perfume oil, a handmade book, and two homemade CD's full of amazing music.  Made my day!

Sunday 12 October 2008

Day 98

My husband ran the Peterborough Half-Marathon today!  I am so proud of him!

Day 97

My new toy!  It was used today and will be used five days a week from here on out.

Day 96

A long day of playing and walking in farmer's fields makes an older dog sleepy.

Day 95

The cover to the "Steampunk" journal I created for my Mini-Book Swap.

Sunday 21 September 2008

Day 94

Marley and Robin have had lots of quality time lately.  The result is Marley cuteness (hence why he has been on the blog a lot lately).  Here he is enjoying some good classical music before bed.

Thursday 18 September 2008

Day 93

I am involved in another swap and I came home to find this gorgeous necklace!  Made my day!

Sunday 14 September 2008

Day 92

This site is evil! Yet, I still love it!

Day 91

A nice sunny day!  I decided to celebrate by reading in the garden along with a cup of tasty green tea.

Day 90

Anybody need scrub, lotion, or soap?  I have plenty!

Day 89

Lazy days spent reading and snuggling.

Day 88

Marley claims the bean bag.  Such a big place for a small dog.

Day 87

Spider web on a rainy morning.
